Day 10: Accomplished and Motivated After My First 10 for 10 Challenge

Day 10: Accomplished and Motivated After My First 10 for 10 Challenge

Last week I embarked on my first non-sponsored "10 for 10" challenge, and now that it’s over, I’m proud to say I feel both accomplished and motivated. These first 10 days brought more than just wardrobe simplicity—they brought unexpected ease!

What I Loved About the Challenge

Going into it, I wondered if limiting myself to just 10 items for 10 days would feel restrictive, but it was quite the opposite. The simplicity was refreshing. No more time wasted on outfit decisions, and the best part? My laundry pile shrank to almost nothing!

My Key Takeaways

  1. Less Decision-Making is Pure Freedom
One of the biggest benefits of this challenge was not having to stand in front of my closet wondering what to wear. With only 10 pieces to choose from, getting dressed was quick and effortless every single day. It felt amazing to free up that mental space for more important things—like my morning coffee ritual.

  2. Laundry? What Laundry?
One of my main goals was reducing laundry frequency, and this challenge was a game-changer. The limited clothing choices meant fewer washes, and the merino wool pieces held up beautifully, even with multiple wears. No more mid-week laundry marathons!

  3. Motivated to Simplify Even More
This experience has sparked a desire to simplify even further. I now realize how little I need to feel comfortable and put together. It’s inspired me to continue decluttering and removing stress from my life.

What’s Coming Next

After this challenge, I’m excited to keep the momentum going with a few more rounds. I’ll be refining my wardrobe, continuing to reduce decision fatigue, and preparing for the ultimate test—my 30-day Wool& dress challenge in November. I’ll be sharing updates and tips along the way at @peaceinthechaosautism on Instagram if you want to follow along!

These 10 days have shown me that simplifying my wardrobe has ripple effects in other areas of my life. If you’ve been thinking about trying something like this, I say go for it! You might be surprised by how much lighter and more free you feel.

Let me know if this works for you!
