When you’re a full-time Caregiver, stepping away even for a brief time comes at a cost to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your loved one.
Besides hotels, food, and transportation, my trip to France incurs additional costs — most significantly 11 days of lost income and full-time caregiver support. So, at the urging of a fellow Autism Mom, I created a GoFundMe.
While the major pieces of the trip are accounted for, the ability to step away without destabilizing everything else requires more than a plane ticket and a hotel.
She reminded me that many people love and support me and appreciate everything I give to our local and online Autism community — especially when it comes to navigating services and systems. Knowing this, I’ve decided to lean on that community by creating a GoFundMe to help with the cost of this much-needed break. If you’d like to help or share, here’s the link:

I appreciate any support you’re able to give — whether that’s sharing the link or contributing directly. If the fundraiser goes over the goal, extra funds will support practice weekends leading up to my trip. These weekends help us build new routines and ensure everything will run smoothly while I’m away.
