I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions. They’ve never felt like the right fit for me. Instead of setting lofty goals that fade by February, I focus on practical steps that align with the life I want to create. This year, I’m prioritizing financial stability, preparing for my trip to France in late spring 2026, downsizing, and embracing intentional self-care.
Financial Freedom in Progress
A major focus for me this year is continuing to build financial stability. I’ve been working with Beyond Finance to tackle my debt, and seeing progress has been incredibly motivating. Taking charge of my finances has lifted such a weight off my shoulders.
On the saving side, I’ve started the Fidelity 52-Week Savings Challenge, setting aside money each week. It’s a simple, manageable way to save, and it’s helping me build the funds I need for things that truly matter.
Preparing for My Trip to France
In late May 2026, I’ll be heading to France—a trip I’m so grateful to have secured and incredibly excited about. One of the highlights of this journey will be my stay at Camp Château, a women-owned retreat in the French countryside. It will be my first real investment in intentional self-care, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to experience this peaceful and restorative getaway.
After my time at Camp Château, I’ll spend a day in Paris before heading home. I’ve found an amazing 1:1 tour guide who customizes tours based on your personal preferences. It’s the perfect way to explore the city without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. I’m looking forward to wandering through charming streets, savoring delicious food, and experiencing the magic of Paris in a way that feels uniquely mine.
Downsizing and Simplifying
Another focus this year is downsizing and simplifying my life. Over the years, I’ve accumulated so much “stuff” that I thought I needed or might use someday. This year, I’m committed to letting go of the things that no longer serve me.
I’ve been tackling closets, drawers, and storage spaces, donating or selling anything that doesn’t add value to my life. It’s been freeing to create more physical and mental space for the things that truly matter.
Continuing My Wool Journey
My wool wardrobe has been a game-changer in my journey toward simplicity. Last year, I fell in love with Wool& and Woolx, whose versatile and sustainable pieces completely transformed how I think about clothing.
This year, I’m continuing my wool journey by selecting pieces that truly align with my lifestyle. It’s not just about the clothes—it’s about adopting a mindset that prioritizes quality, function, and sustainability. And, let’s be honest, it’s also about doing a lot less laundry!
A Year of Intention
I’m not making resolutions, but I am setting intentions. This year is all about financial progress, preparong myself and My Guys for my trip to France, simplifying my life, and prioritizing self-care in ways I never have before.
If you’re not into resolutions either, think about what small steps you can take to align your actions with your values. What are you focusing on this year, and how can you make space for it in your life?
Here’s to a year of intention, growth, and meaningful experiences. I’ll be sharing updates on my journey to France, my wool wardrobe adventures, and everything in between—stay tuned!
What are your intentions for the year? Let me know in the comments!
